Community Heat & Energy
ActiveThe West Linton Community Heat Team helps local households save money on energy bills, stay warmer and healthier, and reduce CO2 emissions through free thermographic heat surveys. A project of Sustainable West Linton and District, working with WLCCDT on community-owned low-carbon energy generation.
Affordable Housing
PlanningWorking to increase the availability of affordable housing for local residents. Through partnership with housing associations and community consultation, we aim to ensure our villages remain accessible to people of all income levels.
Cycling & Walking Paths
PlanningDeveloping safe cycling and walking infrastructure to connect West Linton and Carlops, promoting active travel and reducing car dependency. The project includes consultation on routes, securing funding, and partnership with Scottish Borders Council.
West Linton Place Plan
The West Linton Place Plan is a community-led vision document developed with Scottish Borders Council. It outlines priorities for the future of our village, covering housing, transport, green spaces, community facilities, and local services. This plan helps ensure that local voices shape decisions about West Linton's development.
The Place Plan was created through extensive community consultation and provides a framework for how we want our village to grow and improve over the coming years.
